A song analyzer reads the measurable facts out of a piece of audio so you don't have to do it by ear: how fast it is (BPM), what key it's in, how long it runs, how intense it feels, and how it's roughly built, intro, verse, chorus, outro. Useful for producers reverse-engineering a reference, DJs prepping a set, or anyone briefing an AI music generator.
It all happens in your browser. The file is decoded and analysed on your own device, nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there's no sign-up. This is the measured layer of our reverse tool, offered on its own.
What it measures
Tempo and key come from the same engine as our dedicated BPM and key finders. Duration is exact. Energy is a rough 0–100% read of overall loudness/intensity. Structure is an approximate breakdown of sections from the track's loudness envelope, a guide to the arrangement, not a bar-accurate map.
Detected versus interpreted
Everything here is detected, measured straight from the audio. What it does not do is guess genre, mood or instruments; that interpretation is a separate, model-driven step. Keeping measured facts apart from interpretation is a core principle of how we present results.
From analysis to a full prompt
If you want more than the raw numbers, genre, mood, instrumentation and a ready-to-paste prompt for Suno, Udio or ElevenLabs, run the same track through the reverse tool, which builds the interpreted layer on top of these measurements.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the audio uploaded?
- No. The whole analysis runs in your browser; the file isn't sent anywhere or stored.
- How accurate is the structure breakdown?
- It's approximate, sections are estimated from the loudness envelope, so treat it as a guide to the arrangement rather than a precise, bar-aligned map.
- Does it detect genre or mood?
- No, this tool reports only measured facts (tempo, key, duration, energy, structure). Genre and mood are interpreted by a model in the reverse tool.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The free analysis tools run entirely on your device with no sign-up.
